The 1st Vice Grand Basileus position is fundamentally operational—requiring committee oversight, administrative excellence, and coordination of our 30+ standing committees while supporting the Grand Basileus's strategic vision. This is not a role for grand strategic pronouncements, but for systematic operational improvements that help successful committees work together even more effectively.

Through 1st Vice District Representative (2017-2020) in our fraternity's largest district, I have managed the exact committee coordination challenges this role demands. I have proven that operational excellence—when grounded in our sacred principle that Friendship is Essential to the Soul—strengthens rather than strains fraternal relationships.

I am not campaigning to change what works. I am offering to build upon the outstanding foundation of our current committee structure under Brother 1st Vice Grand Mark E. Jackson's excellent leadership and our dedicated committee chairs. My vision is simple: help successful operations work together even more effectively through friendship-centered coordination that respects expertise, shares resources strategically, and creates sustainable improvements.

This campaign is about operational readiness, proven capability, and servant leadership. I have already done this work at the district level. I am ready to serve at the international level.

Brother Harris served 1st Vice District Representative (2017-2020) in the 7th District—the fraternity's largest district—providing direct, hands-on experience managing the committee coordination challenges identical to those faced by the 1st Vice Grand Basileus at the international level.

Leading all committees in the fraternity's largest district meant navigating the most complex coordination environment in Omega—managing diverse chapter needs, competing priorities, limited resources, and multiple stakeholder perspectives while maintaining operational effectiveness and fraternal unity.

Partnership Enhancement Model

These partnerships demonstrate how external relationships can multiply committee resources and effectiveness while advancing fraternal values—providing a model for enhanced committee coordination at the international level.

In 2014, Brother Harris authored the "Get Right" Program—a comprehensive verification and certification process for brothers who had not received official status in previous years.

This achievement exemplifies the innovative thinking he will bring to committee coordination—identifying challenges, developing systematic solutions, building consensus for implementation, and creating sustainable improvements.

Through observations and discussions with brothers across the fraternity, Brother Harris recognized that the brotherhood needed to refocus on our foundational principle of Friendship, which is Essential to the Soul. He launched this systematic initiative to help all brothers evaluate themselves within to determine if we are living up to our commitments.

This program is designed to change hearts, not minds—because a change of heart ultimately impacts one's actions. Rather than imposing external requirements, the program creates opportunities for authentic dialogue, relationship-building, and self-reflection that strengthen the bonds of brotherhood across the entire fraternity.

This sacred principle guides his approach to committee coordination, ensuring that operational improvements strengthen rather than strain fraternal relationships.

The outstanding work of our current committee structure, under Brother 1st Vice Grand Mark E. Jackson's excellent leadership and our dedicated committee chairs, provides a strong foundation for enhanced coordination and impact.

Undergraduate chapter leaders face significant financial barriers to attending required meetings:

• State Meetings (2 days, 2 nights): $300-500 per leader
• District Meetings (2 days, 2 nights): $300-500 per leader
• Undergraduate Summit (2 days, 2 nights): $400-600 per leader
• Grand Conclave (5 days, 4 nights): $800-1,200 per leader
• Dr. Moses C. Norman, Sr. International Leadership Conference (4 days, 3 nights): $600-900 per leader

No qualified undergraduate leader should be prevented from serving because of financial barriers.

The five core undergraduate chapter leadership positions: Basileus, Vice Basileus, Keeper of Finance, Keeper of Records and Seal, and Chaplain.

The 1st Vice Grand Basileus is delegated responsibility by the Grand Basileus to execute the Dr. Moses C. Norman, Sr. International Leadership Conference, including:

• Registration Management: 1,000+ attendees with sophisticated registration systems
• Sponsorship Development: $500,000+ in corporate and organizational partnerships
• Quette Programming: Comprehensive programming for spouses and significant others
• Souvenir Journal Production: $55,000+ publication celebrating fraternal excellence
• Logistics Coordination: Working with International Headquarters (Executive Director and team) to ensure seamless operations
